Seven

Well, yesterday my son turned 7. I can’t believe what an amazing, talented, brave, and fun boy he has grown into being. He is learning to swim [he can now dive under water and search for dive toys]. He is doing great with his school stuff, and when he tries he can read really well. He loves learning and wants to know how everything works and why. He is so smart, and helpful.

We have been on quite a journey the past few years and this year we continued our tradition of celebrating Josiah’s Birthday in yet another city, Los Angeles.

Sherman Oaks Castle Park

We started the celebration a few days before his actual birthday at the mini golf course in Sherman Oaks. Josiah had never been mini golfing before, but he did a really good job. He also had a ton of fun. Grandma Ginny came down to join us and we made a whole day of celebrating Josiah. Grandma got him a sweet Star Wars jacket from the Disney store.

Disneyland & California Adventure

Then on his actual Birthday we went to the best place to celebrate, Disneyland & California Adventure. Josiah got  a button that said Happy Birthday and every cast member who saw it wished him a Happy Birthday, he loved it! We asked him what he wanted to do and we would go and do it, it was absolutely his day..! We started at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and finished at The Little Mermaid ride, ok so Josiah let his sister pick the last one [he is a good big brother]. All in all we had a great day celebrating. We got to meet Thor, ride some rides, and oh yeah.. Josiah became a Jedi Knight and got to fight Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and some Storm Troopers. No big deal.  Ha.
